9.00-10.30AM: Presentation 1. Improving Your Powerlifting Mindset with Isabella von Weissenberg. 
An in depth presentation on Isabella's background story, lifting approach, personal experiences and gained knowledge, including: 

  • Mental skills training and practical implementation
  • Goalsetting
  • Competition mindset
  • Strategies for maintaining high levels of motivation
  • Handling setbacks
  • Managing emotions and performance anxiety
  • Longevity

10:40-12:00PM: Presentation 2. Powerlifting Training Principles with Isabella von Weissenberg and RTS coach Jim Elli. Learn how Isabella is coached and programmed by Reactive Training Systems and the theory and methods behind making such big progress:

  • Powerlifting Training Principles
  • Utilizing RPE and Auto-Regulation
  • In Depth Analysis of Isabella’s Training
  • Exercise Selection
  • Programming
  • The Coaching Process

12:00-1:00PM: Q & A Lunch Break.

2:00: 5:00PM: Training Session with RTS Coach Jim Elli and Isabella Von Weissenberg.  

  • Demonstration on squat, bench and deadlift by Isabella
  • One on one coaching for each lift
  • Technique analysis
  • Specific exercise recommendations to improve future training

Join Heather for a beginner-focused fundamentals course. If you are brand new or just a couple years into the sport, or thinking of competing for the first time, this will be an invaluable experience. There will be 45 minutes of lecture and about 75 minutes of hands on work with participants. Presentation starts at 10:00 am and will cover the following:

  • What is powerlifting?
  • What are the rules?
  • How do decide a weight class to compete in.
  • How do I get involved in competing?
  • Proper prep for a competition.
  • What if injury occurs? When to say “Right now is not the time to compete”
  • Technique and Form
